Day 1: Arrive in Rome

Explore the area surrounding your hotel on your first night in Rome. Grab a bite to eat, and prepare for the best 11 days of your life!

Day 2: Living museums

Rome is the city of history and food. Ancient sites and recipes that have lasted countless lifetimes. Pre-booked entrance to the Colosseum and other outdoor sites provide insight into the daily lives of ancient Romans.

Day 3: Free day in Rome

Today is wide open, with endless possibilities. Whether you’re in the mood to slow down and recharge or keep the momentum going, Florence has something for you. From world-class museums and iconic monuments to unforgettable restaurants, there’s no shortage of ways to spend your day well.

Day 4: A day in the Vatican City

Vatican City has been the center of the Roman Catholic Church for centuries, amassing knowledge, wealth, and priceless works of art along the way. Your arranged entrance grants access to its most iconic sites, including the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the vast, treasure-filled Vatican Museums.

Day 5: Travel to Florence and free day

Travel by train through the scenic Italian countryside and arrive in Florence by early afternoon, ready to explore the birthplace of the Renaissance. Day 6: Experience the Renaissance

Today’s access to two of Florence’s premier museums offers a front-row seat to the greatest era in art history. Stand in awe before Michelangelo’s David and other marble masterpieces that capture the power and grace of the Renaissance. Then, wander through the Uffizi Gallery, where vivid paintings reflect a changing world, one in which artists were no longer bound by the Church, but free to express themselves.

Day 7: Florentine food tour

Day 8: View Florence and the Duomo from Piazzale Michelangelo

Today’s walk highlights the best of Florentine history, architecture, and scenery. Stroll through the heart of downtown Florence to the iconic Ponte Vecchio, where glittering jewelers now stand in place of the original homes and food stalls. Then, make your way up the hill to enjoy sweeping views of the city and its stunning Duomo. At the top, you’ll uncover a hidden 12th-century gem that few visitors know about.

Day 9: Dive into Bologna

Hop on a quick train to Bologna—there’s plenty to see and even more to taste. During your free day, climb the iconic Two Towers for sweeping views or explore the vast Basilica di San Petronio, one of the largest churches in the world. In the evening, treat yourself to one of the city’s celebrated historic dishes, like tortellini in brodo or tagliatelle al ragù alla Bolognese.

Day 10: Travel to Venice, free day

Venice is not only one of the most romantic cities in the world, but it’s also one that must be seen before it’s too late. Take an early train and enjoy a free day wandering the dreamlike island. Climb St. Mark’s Campanile for sweeping views, explore a hidden gem of a museum, or simply lose yourself in the winding canals and narrow alleyways.

Day 11: Venice gondola cruise

Your final day in Italy has arrived—make it unforgettable. As the sun begins to set, glide through Venice’s timeless canals on a private gondola ride and see the city from a whole new perspective. For a perfect farewell, dine at one of several exceptional restaurants overlooking the Venetian Lagoon, where fresh seafood and stunning views come together in one last magical memory.
